The General Dental Council (GDC) is the regulatory body of the dental profession in the United Kingdom. Our dentists and staff adhere to the regulations governing the profession by the GDC as set out in their publication "Standards for the Dental Team". Steve is originally from Glasgow. He qualified in 1985 and after a short time working in a practice there, he moved south to Cumbria where he stayed for the next 12 years. In 1999 he and his family moved to Bournemouth. Following 9 years in a practice there, during which time he completed a postgraduate qualification through Bristol University, he come to work at Dalkeith House in 2008.

Katie began working at the practice in 2003 after being approached at a previous job due to her great customer service.
Katie started as a trainee dental nurse and qualified in 2006. She nursed until 2008 when she had her first son. She then returned part time and worked on reception until she had her second son in 2011. Katie returned this time and assisted Hazel in the office part time, which then lead to her becoming Practice Compliance Manager in September 2015. Katie also maintains her dental nursing qualification. In her spare time she volunteers for the Dorset Deaf Children Society and enjoys spending time with her family.

Hazel started working at the practice when it was originally at Monmouth House, a family run business with Tim Mason and his parents in July 1984.
Hazel qualified as a dental nurse in 1987. She had 2 daughters and took a step back from nursing and became Practice Manager in 1996. Since December 2019 Hazel now manages most of her duties from home. Although she can still be found at the practice from time to time. Hazel's interests outside work include gardening, swimming and she is involved in raising money for the Southern Region Special Olympics.

Krystyna joined the practice in September 2010 straight after finishing school aged 16. She started on reception then went on to become a trainee dental nurse a few months later. Krystyna qualified in December 2012 she has worked full time in surgery with Steve ever since. Outside of work Krystyna's hobby is travelling.

- Mrs Debbie Kirkby
- Head Receptionist
Debbie joined the practice in May 1990 to work on reception. She left for a short while to have her second daughter in 1994. Hazel contacted Debbie to see if she would like to come back to work on reception which she accepted and came back in August 1997. Debbie then went on to become Head Receptionist in 1999. Debbie is also trained to work in our decontamination room. Interests outside of work are kayaking, dog walking and assisting her eldest daughter with her riding stables.
